Staff profiles

The editor-in-chief is Mark Allen, a journalist and editor. He is the former editor of both Community Care and Nursing Mirror and won the Periodical Publishers' Association Editor of the Year accolade in the same year that Nursing Mirror also won the Magazine of the Year and Campaign of the Year awards.

Editor Pete Henshaw joined SecEd at the start of 2006 as news editor and took over as editor six months later. Prior to that he spent six years working on local papers in Cheshire, Essex and east London, covering news stories including government and education issues. He has an honours degree in journalism and, having worked with many schools and teachers, has a keen interest in education.

David Taylor, SecEd's assistant editor, is responsible for SecEd's design. He has a degree in business studies.
